National Consumers Right Day in India

24th December was observed a “National Consumer Rights Day” in India.

In India, The Consumer Protection Act was enacted in 1986 with the following objectives:

• Provide better protection of consumer’s interest.
• Provide effective safeguards against various type of exploitation and unfair dealing.

This Act apply to all goods and services, which covers private, public and cooperative sectors.
